Decluttering in Zürich: when the handover date is close
Clearing out in Zürich usually starts with a deadline. Your flat handover is approaching, a house is being sold, or a family member has died. The furniture and boxes are still there, and you do not know what clearing them will cost.
Doing it yourself is harder than it sounds. The city's bulky-waste collection needs paid (bulky-waste stickers) and a fixed collection day. At the Recyclinghof (municipal recycling centre) you load and sort everything yourself. Leaving items on the pavement counts as illegal dumping and can be fined.
We take over the clearing, carrying and transport. You send photos, we give you a fixed price, and our team arrives on the day you choose. What we clear in Zürich
Clearing a flat

Clearing a cellar
Cellars are often narrow and packed. We clear the storage compartment, wine cellar and storage area and handle chemicals and paint separately.
Attic (Estrich) clearance

Houses, garages and garden sheds
A house clearance needs a larger team. We clear several floors, the garage and the shed in one visit, with two vehicles if needed. You can also book everything in one visit through full clearance in Zürich.
Hoarded flats and houses
A hoarding situation is nothing to be ashamed of, and we do not judge. We work discreetly and without comment, wearing protective equipment where there is mould or pests. Valuables, documents and personal items are set aside for you to check before anything is disposed of. We can clear in stages.

How much does clearing out cost in Zürich?
The price depends on four things. A half-full flat costs less than a packed one of the same size. An online calculator cannot see how full a room is, so we price from your photos. That way you know the cost of the clearance before we arrive. We don’t publish fixed prices here, because every clearance is different and only your photos show what the job really involves. The right order up to your flat handover
Most clearances fail on dates, not on carrying. Leases in Zürich often end in March, June or 30 September. Demand is highest from January to March and in May and June (renovation season). Plan backwards from the handover:
3–4 weeks before: Check your lease and handover protocol. Go through valuables, documents and data carriers yourself.
10–14 days before: Send photos and book the clearance.
3–5 days before: Clearance finished. Now you see holes and damage that furniture is covered.
1–2 days before: Cleaning, broom-clean or a full end-of-tenancy clean, as your landlord requires.
Handover day: Landlord inspection.

The price depends mainly on how full the space is. Just send us a few photos of your cellar compartment and we will give you a price for your specific case. Paint and chemicals are handled separately.

Who pays for the clearance when I move out or after a death?
When you move out, the tenant normally pays. After a death, the heirs pay from the estate. If you are unsure, check with the property manager or a notary first.

Do I need to be there during the clearance?
Not necessarily. We can work with a key handover or in agreement with the property manager or family.
What is the difference between a clear-out, a clearance and a house clearance?

Is there a cost calculator for decluttering?
A calculator cannot see how full a room is. We price from your photos and give a fixed price, usually within a few hours.
What do you not take?
Material that may contain asbestos needs a licensed specialist, as do active chemicals and gases. We advise you on the right route.
